A self-taught artist, AC began creating at an early age. She began seriously studying art in high school, and eventually attended Auburn University to study architecture. Throughout her experience at college, she remained passionate about the act of creating and studied mediums such as charcoal, graphite, watercolor and photography.

After a few years in the professional world practicing architectural design, she began oil painting. She quickly realized that oil allows her to capture the movement, light and color that captivated her about the natural world.

Based in Birmingham, Alabama, AC finds inspiration from the beauty of nature and the small moments we often overlook. A long time lover of animals, she’s moved by the way the animal kingdom can often reflect our most human moments. She enjoys practicing a paint style that implies detail with intentional paint strokes.

With AC’s background in architecture, she has a unique approach to each painting. She has a special appreciation for craftsmanship, and the way intentionally designed spaces can tell a story. Each painting is carefully considered in order to develop an archival piece that adds to any space.
